Zhejiang Kaikai Meiduo Motorcycle Co., Ltd. reviews

We placed an order with ZHEJIANG KAIKAI MEIDUO LOCOMOTIVE CO.,LTD.and paid 30% of the total amount - $4541.29 - up front as agreed. Kaikai Meiduo provided a letter stating that they would follow legal US requirements. The order was supposed to be ready for shipping on March 15, 2010. About a week prior to shipping date, we provided all necessary documents for company registration in the State of Colorado - a job of their registered agent. Mr. Wei promised to complete the registration process and... disappeared. On March 22nd - a week after the product was supposed to be shipped - Mr. Wei informed us that Kaikai Meiduo decided not to follow legal requirements of the State of Colorado which made their product illegal for sale here. The documents they did provide contained false and misleading information - Mr. Wei listed himself as a sole owner of the company which is not the case. Also, a different manufacturer sent $500 worth of merchandise - 10 scooter carriers - to Kaikai Meiduo to be included in the shipment. Kaikai Meiduo simply stole that merchandise. The carrier supplier was paid full amount of $505.00. Since the product - despite Kaikai Meiduo's assurances - is illegal in the State of Colorado, and, therefore, is useless, we requested refund of our deposit. We also requested that the scooter ramps were released to our shipping agent which Mr. Wei simply refused to discuss. GreenRide Scooters, Inc. is a fully registered dealer in the State of Colorado, not an agent of ZHEJIANG KAIKAI MEIDUO LOCOMOTIVE CO.,LTD. We not only are not responsible for their registration but legally cannot act as their agent - this arrangement would create conflict of interests and, therefore, is not allowed by the state law. It is the manufacturer's responsibility to establish legal presence in the United States AND in the state where they want their products to be sold.
