why you can't just provide the price directly

After I messaged in Direct to inquire about the cost of injectors, they directed me to email them and wait for a response from their sales department. I don't understand why they can't just provide the price directly

I was searching for chrome accessories for my 2000 Mack truck. The company asked me for part numbers and a list to send via mail. They also cautioned me that they couldn't match parts based on photos alone. I had relied on this company to help me order everything I required. Unfortunately, without the part numbers, I couldn't proceed with my application

My order was below $500, and they informed me that they would charge an extra fee for a small order. I have not encountered this practice with other suppliers, and since I don't require extra spare parts, I have decided to look for other suppliers
